UT Dallas McDermott Scholars receive one of the nation's most generous four-year undergraduate merit awards.

Since the program’s creation in 2001, scholars have:

·         Interned at prestigious institutions such as the Federal Reserve, the U.S. Supreme Court and CERN.
·         Studied abroad in more than 60 countries.
·         Won more than 30 distinguished awards, including multiple Fulbrights, Goldwaters and Udalls.
·         Contributed more than 75,000 hours in service.
·         Gone on for graduate and professional study at Harvard, Princeton, Yale, MIT, Stanford, Chicago, Cambridge, the London School of Economics, the Sorbonne and other leading universities.
·         Landed jobs at such pre-eminent institutions as NASA, the White House, the United Nations, Texas Instruments, the Cleveland Clinic, Microsoft and Boston Consulting Group.
This year, we’re welcoming our 13th class of scholars. The online application is open for the 2014 Class of Eugene McDermott Scholars. Information on application materials and student qualifications can be found on the program website. We encourage you to identify two students at your high school who would make great candidates.
