The Sertoma Club of Nashville is sponsoring the 53rd Annual Freedom Essay Contest. Contest information and rules are available on their website at: www.nashvillesertomaclub.org. The first place winner will receive a $3,500 scholarship and three runner's up will be recipients of scholarships in the amount of $2,000. An essay topic is provided and essays are limited to one page and 300 words or less.
By December 7, 2012, all essays must be turned in to the college counseling office.
By December 21, 2012, the top three essays from MBA will be selected and mailed to the Sertoma Club of Nashville.
On February 26, 2013, there will be an Awards' Banquet for the presentation of scholarship awards. Before this date, the final four winners will have been notified and invited to appear at the awards banquet held on their behalf at the Maxwell House Hotel. At this banquet, the winners will read their essays and receive their scholarship awards.
